Short story from the volume Round the Fire Stories, 1908
Translated into Romanian by MTTLC Graduate
Beatrice Ahmad

Parallel Texts

With this text by Arthur Conan Doyle published as Parallel Texts, in both English and Romanian, Translation Café continues the publication of books translated by students who have graduated from the MA Programme for the Translation of the Contemporary Literary Text. This is their debut as professional translators.
The aim of such books is to bring together research, translation and elucidation of the text. The students choose their own texts. They are usually obscure short stories by classical writers, and most of them have not yet been translated into Romanian. The stories are accompanied by explanatory notes, mainly for the use of Romanian readers.
The short story we are publishing now has been chosen and translated from English into Romanian by Beatrice Ahmad, as part of her Dissertation, defended in June 2015.

Texte paralele
